Colin Cowan & The Elastic Stars is the brain child of the gent mentioned in the band's title. This is a psychedelic folk/rock project that started as a result of Colin deciding to branch off from many other bands as a bass player (MALCOLM JACK/DADA PLAN/WOODPIGEON/DAN MANGAN/ANALOG BELL SERVICE/TARIQ/JENN BOJM/CHRIS KELLY/ROB BUTTERFIELD/TINY PYRAMIDS/SUN RA'S STAR SYSTEM), and instead sing the songs he's been secretly writing, all-the-while operating the guitar machine at the same time! ... from time to time. The music aims to be a florescent cup of warm nostalgic soup fit for any contemporary starchild or drifter...

COLIN COWAN & THE ELASTIC STARS, (usually Colin Cowan, Ben Brown, Chris Kelly, Jenn Bojm) with no doubt, is a must-see live band... But so happens to be somewhat of a solo-project in the recording process thus far, where he is making four seasonal state-of-mind albums ... One album a year for four years... One album for each season.. ALL SONICALLY DIFFERENT. (bit of a mouthful;)
